Does Hot Door provide free trial?
Its trial version allows unlimited use for 7 days (internet connection required for first start). After that, it will enter demo mode. Each Hot Door trial version allows 7 days of unlimited usage (Internet connection required for first launch). After that, each control plugin will expire and its functionality will not be available. After purchase, a valid serial number can be entered and the trial version will be converted to the full version.
What is the upgrade path for Hot Door.�M�
If you own a Hot Door 10, 11 or 12, you can upgrade to a 13 at the upgrade price. If you have a CADtools version prior to version 10, you are not eligible for upgrade pricing. 13 Not compatible with Illustrator CC 2018 or earlier. However, you can buy 13 and call and arrange to receive an older version that is compatible with earlier versions of it.
How many machines can I install Hot Door on?
Hot Door grants Customer the right to install the Software on the storage devices of up to a permitted number of computers matching the number of Software licenses purchased by Customer. Each software license purchased is permitted for use on only one computer, excluding a second portable or home computer, which is not used concurrently with the main computer. When using both Mac OS and Windows on the same or different machines, each operating system is considered and counted as a separate computer. Is Hot Door compatible with previous versions?
They strive to make all new versions as compatible as possible with previous versions at Hot Door. In most cases, in fact for the last few versions, they have been able to convert art and size from previous versions without any problems. However, they cannot guarantee that previous versions will be compatible with the latest version. Just as you can't reasonably expect artwork drawn using new features in Illustrator to work correctly when opened in older versions.
